Vision of Service

I believe public safety is built on mutual respect and active partnership. As I prepare for a career in policing, my vision is to one day act as a reliable bridge between law enforcement and the diverse communities of Ontario. I am actively working to develop the integrity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving skills required to uphold this responsibility.

About Me

My path toward a career in policing is driven by a commitment to leadership and technical problem-solving. Outside of my academic studies, I actively manage large digital communities. As a guild leader in cooperative online environments, I have spent years honing my skills in conflict resolution, logistical planning, and team management under high-pressure scenarios.

I have a strong passion for technology and web development. Building custom digital tools and organizing complex systems requires adaptability and continuous learning. I view these technical and leadership experiences as highly transferable to my future in modern, intelligence-led policing, where communication and adaptability are essential.

"The police are the public and the public are the police; the police being only members of the public who are paid to give full time attention to duties which are incumbent on every citizen in the interests of community welfare and existence." (Sir Robert Peel)

Five Year Career Plan

Success in law enforcement requires rigorous preparation, physical discipline, and precise logistical planning. The following timeline outlines my strategic roadmap, anchored by my upcoming graduation, toward earning the privilege of serving as a frontline officer.

2026 - 2027: Academic Completion and Proactive Application

As I enter my final year of the Police Foundations program, my primary objective is to maintain a high level of physical readiness and continue working toward exceeding the requirements for the PREP. To strengthen my professional profile, I will use Humber's Career Steps Workshops to improve my interview preparation and continue volunteering as a Scout Leader to further develop my community engagement and leadership skills. I will also begin submitting formal applications for sworn policing positions several months before completing the program in April 2027. My strategic goal is to secure a conditional offer of employment by the time I graduate.

2027 - 2028: Graduation, Certification and Academy Training

Following my graduation in April 2027, my immediate focus will be finalizing my OACP Certificate and completing any remaining stages of the police recruitment process. Should there be a waiting period before academy placement, I will secure an interim role in municipal security or community outreach to keep my de-escalation skills sharp. Upon officially securing a position, my absolute focus will shift to excelling at the Ontario Police College (OPC) for Basic Constable Training.

2028 - 2029: Frontline Deployment and Coaching

Having completed OPC, I will begin my deployment as a sworn probationary constable. My goal for this year is to actively learn from my senior coaching officers. I will dedicate myself to applying theoretical criminal law and defensive tactics to real-world scenarios, ensuring every interaction is grounded in ethical decision-making.

2029 - 2030: Frontline Experience and Community Trust

During this year, I aim to operate with increasing independence on frontline patrol. My absolute focus will be on proactive, community-based problem solving, prioritizing public safety, and building positive, trust-based relationships with the citizens I serve on a daily basis.

2031 - 2032: Independence and Specialization

Having established myself as a highly competent, reliable frontline officer, I will begin exploring specialized training opportunities within the service. Leveraging my prior professional background in security supervision, web development, and digital leadership, I intend to pursue specialized units such as an Aerial Support Unit (ASU), Cybercrime, or advanced Community Mobilization.
